Moving to College Station

My "unmarried partner" (as the U.S. Census Bureau so romantically put it) just got into Grad School at Texas A&M! I am really excited about moving to College Station - some of my reasons are purely selfish. I have been reading a lot about some interesting places to visit that are supposedly haunted in that part of Texas. I have been doing some research on the internet today and found some interesting places. Anybody want to weigh in on these places?

3602 Hawks St. - Bryan, Tx. This house seems to be haunted - or at least some people think it is. The debate is on. I found the information at the website for the local paper The Eagle here. I then checked out some other sites and there is quite a debate about this house. I found a website entitled Real Haunts and the house seems to have mixed reviews. You can read the responses here.

Texas A&M - College Station, Tx. There are many places on campus that people claim are haunted. The Corps Dining Hall, The Ag Building, The Old Animal Science Building, and the Lewis and Turner Dormitories. I am sure there are other stories! I can't wait to get out there and explore the campus. You can read about the A&M hauntings at Texas Ghost Hunters

Are there anymore mysterious occurrences I should check out in Bryan-College Station?

  2. I agree about the school... its Bowie Elementary and my mother went to school there. While she was in school there a little boy coming to or going home from school was run over by the train and killed. There have been reports about this little boy there. I myself went by there and took a couple of pics outside and found quite of few orbs... a little to close for comfort so of course I left. It is very spooky but for someone who has the guts to explore it would be great!

  5. You should definitely contact me. My house was haunted for about a year to a year and a half. I just spent about 10 minutes writing in great detail everything that happened, but it never posted -.- But I can tell you that I've experienced probably all there is. And I'm not looking for attention, I only tell this to people I think will believe me, because I don't want anybody looking at me crazy. But everything that happened was real. The house isn't haunted anymore, but if you want to hear some stuff that will make you shit your pants, I've got plenty to tell. My number is (979) 583-3112.

  6. At one time we lived at 811 S. Coulter in Bryan and during our time there strange feels were felt by all. My little boy was about 3 and he told he had a friend named Brooks in the room with him. I thought it was an imaginary friend but one day I tested him and asked him if his friend wanted to play with us since he was in the room. At the time my little boy stated that his friend was NOT in the room with us. He was often seen talking/ playing with "Brooks," a name he had never heard of. It would be great if someone could check it out!

  15. You don't contact anyone, you sneak in. That's how I got in, found some pretty messed up stuff in there.
There were actual old hospital beds, little steel folding commodes that had straps so you could strap someones arms down and restrain them.
Really creepy place...especially the cafeteria on the bottom floor.
    The auditorium is creepy too...

  16. Hey Brad, and anyone else, I'm having a tough time finding out who owns it. I know Zane Anderson Realty manages it.

    Any suggestions?

  17. Down on 504 Boyett Street there are these brick duplexes. There used to be a house next to it that was abandoned and used by the fire department. Later it was burned down but the duplexes I lived there and from the time I moved in from then on two years later it got worst and worst and people that came over would see shadows and lights flicker and hear something running around in the hallway. Later my child's toy was moving around by itself and did not have batteries in it. The house that was next door before it was burned down the back screen door would open and shut by itself and you would see what it looked like a woman inside lurking around. I had episodes of sleep paralysis in the duplex house then after I moved it stopped. Very freaky stuff.
